We want to thank those of you that have taken part in our different events the past years. We hope that we can help you out again this year.
My husband & I are the directors of the Missouri Association of Teaching Christian Homes, Inc. (MATCH). This is the only state wide Christian organization in Missouri.
We would love to work with your group in whatever way possible. We offer to do FREE product reviews for vendors. You send us whatever you would like for us to review and after reviewing it we will put the review into our state wide membership newsletter; on our members only site on the web; on our blog; and on Facebook (we do not return or resell items sent for review). We also put the reviews on the Online Convention from time to time. For those that are partners with MATCH they will have a page with their reviews on the site to help advertise their products.
Fireside Helps is sent out to MATCH members throughout the state monthly. We put all sorts of articles in the newsletter to help homeschoolers, events that are coming up, and fun things from time to time for the kids. If you would like to submit articles and upcoming events for our members to see, this is FREE.
We do three main events every year. The first one is what we are working on at this time which is the SHEM convention, May 5-7, 2011. This is a 3 day event and if you aren't going to be able to make it to the SHEM convention, feel free to send samples or door prizes that we can hand out for you. This is NOT our convention but one that we support what they do. We enjoy handing out magazines, fliers and other free items that you might want to get into the hands of homeschoolers. Door prizes are always a fun thing we do at our table. We try to give out some every hour to two throughout the event. The only thing we take money for during this event is for MATCH memberships. They had over 1,400 people to attend last year. We are asking people to send only 300-500 items for the convention. The reason we only ask for this amount is so that we don't waste your money on items that aren't taken during the convention. Everything MUST be to us by April 30th. We love being able to tell homeschoolers about the options out there for them, this is a big event for us.
The second event is our year-around online convention. Each vendor will pay a small fee of $15 for a booth area. You may advertise specials that you want to offer, a way to contact you, links to your web site, and anything else that you think would be of interest. At our website you can see our setup to help give you ideas for your booth. We will have a speakers' block so that our people can hear encouraging workshops just like they would in a regular convention. Your $15 covers a year of advertisement and you may send us updates for your booth throughout the year. We will only accept updates from the contact person listed on the application form unless otherwise told. If you have something that you would like updated on a regular basis (such as monthly or weekly specials), we would recommend that you give us a link to a page on your website which you will keep up to date, if this is possible.
The majority of our convention is open to the public at no charge, including the entire vendor block, in order to give you the widest possible coverage for the money you spend. The complete workshops are available free of charge to members of MATCH and at a small charge to those who are not residents of Missouri.
If you would like to participate in this great event please fill out the forms by clicking on the links below. You may either email us the information or mail it along with the $15. If you would like to pay by Paypal you may do so. We are working on several other improvements over last year's convention. If you would like to take part in our annual online convention as a speaker, please send us a CD, tape or podcasts (CD or podcasts are the best way) with your permission to put it online. We would also like to have a picture, bio and a summary of the workshop. In exchange for the workshops and keynotes we will give you a FREE booth in the convention hall.
Our third and last event is our annual Homeschool Day at Silver Dollar City in Branson, MO. The event that will be held October 1-2, 2011, at the Silver Dollar City Homeschool Day. This is our 11th annual Homeschool Day. Last year we had our 2nd special hands on workshops for the kids, and they were amazing. Plans are currently being made for this years hands on workshops. We like to hand out little things to the children as they come in for the big day. You may have your name on it and choose whatever type of object for us to put in their bags. The kids love to have pencils, pens, little notepads, hand bands, etc. If you would like to donate bags with your advertisement on the outside, please contact us. We want this to not only be something for the kids but a way for you to be able to advertise, too. Due to the families having to carry the bags around all day through the city, we are asking that instead of sending magazines for the event, this year, to send us a card for them to send to you for a free sample of the magazine. The bags are handed out as they come into the city with their packets for the day and many don't want to carry a really heavy bag around all day. We want to still get the magazines into their hands so please send us the post cards instead. We will be putting together 200 bags. We need all the items to be in by September 9, 2011. All of this is done for FREE at no cost for putting them in the bags.
